Lab 3

This assignment is best worked in groups of 2. On page 769, work problems 13 and 16. Do a complete rotation of axes. Find the following:

1.   Identify the conic.
2.   Find the angle of rotation.
3.   Use the angle of rotation to find the equations you will need to rotate the axes.
4.   Rotate the axes to find the equation of the conic in terms of x' and y'.
