Monday, 4/6
Students should bring in-progress projects for discussion and questions.
Students who need help with drawing (AutoCad or board) can come tonight, 6-8pm, to the Cad lab or room D138.
Wednesday, 4/8
Residential design project due.
Projects should consist of three 18x24" sheets:
- Site plan - Boundary of site (residential lot), footprint of house (outline), hardscaping (driveway, sidewalk, etc.), landscaping, and any other items on the site
- House plan - Basic plan that shows room layout; if more than one story, only one floor plan is required
- Elevation - Basic elevation of the front of the house (or whichever view is most descriptive)
Each sheet should contain a scale drawing and descriptive notes. Notes should point out and explain techniques applicable to the plan. Emphasis is on the information contained in the notes. Do not put notes on a separate sheet.
Do not include any information about interior finish-out, only building construction and site/landscape.
Sheets should be neat and professional. Include your name, drawing titles and scales on all sheets, and north arrows on the site and floor plan sheets.
