The purpose of this study
is to document the presence, distribution and abundance of the native and
naturalized vascular plant species in Collin County, Texas.
A checklist consisting of species collected by N. Rich as well as species
reported to Collin County by other sources is being compiled.
The checklist is the result of an ongoing effort and will be periodically
updated. Data from this study will
be useful to environmental consultants, municipal planners, as well as
long-term, ongoing studies at the state and national levels.
Specimens collected are preserved as permanent voucher specimens and
maintained at the Collin County Community College Herbarium.
