Introduction to the Humanities
Essay/Project Topics
As described on your Course Syllabus, you have a choice of essay or project topics from the following list. These projects will be due on December 13. Notice that the title of each of your choices below is a link; each link leads you to a more detailed description of each assignment.
Visual art analysis: view an art work in person and write a descriptive analysis of the piece.
Film analysis: view a film from a list that I provide and write a critical analysis of the film.
Museum collection: play the role of museum curator -- select and annotate a collection of art works.
Architecture comparison: compare and contrast two architectural examples representing different styles.
Textbook readings comparison: compare and contrast a selection of textbook readings dealing with a similar topic.
