Finding a book in the Library

This section of the Library Road Map will help you find books in the Library.
There are two steps involved:
1. Use the online catalog to see which books are in the Library,
2. Locate your book on the Library shelf.


Using the online catalog

"How do I find a book in the Library catalog when..."

I want to find a book at a particular campus:
I want to find a book and I know the exact title:
I want to find a book and I know some keywords:
I want to find a book and I know the author's name:
I want to find a book and I know the subject:
I want videos, DVDs, software, CD's, LP's, or cassettes:
I want to place a "hold" on an item that is checked out:


Locating a book on the Library shelf

All books in the Library are shelved alphabetically by "call number." The type of call numbers we use are "Library of Congress" classification.
