Working from Home

We're always pleased to see you in the Library during our regular service hours.

But once you discover how convenient it can be to do research from home, you may find yourself logging in to the Library for all kinds of reasons:

  • Books and videos can be transferred from one campus to another, at your convenience, by placing requests through the Library catalog.

  • If you need to identify useful research web sites for a discipline, try our subject-based Research Guides.

  • We have a collection of e-books from NetLibrary . [To see a complete list of these titles, search for NetLibrary as an author in the Library catalog.] These e-books can be "signed out" for 24 hours at a time. You must register with NetLibrary to use these titles but there is no cost to you to do so.

  • Some instructors are submitting their notes and class readings to digitize for our eReserves collection. For further information about how to access and use ereserves, go here:

  • You may renew books you've borrowed online in the Library catalog, as long as no one else has placed a hold on them.

  • Many journal databases are available to read, print and save through the main directory of all Library journal databases
NOTE on Log-in IDs: When you open some of our journal databases from off-campus, you will be asked for a log-in ID, to show you are a student or faculty member at CCCCD. Use the 14-digit barcode number on the back of your current Student ID or Library card.
Let a librarian know if you have any problems logging in from home.
