"How do I find a book when I only know a keyword?"

Step 1. Open the Library web page Step 2. Click on the campus you want under Our Library Catalog: SCC for the Spring Creek library catalog PRC for the Preston Ridge library catalog CPC for the Central Park library catalog [When the Library catalog has opened, your screen will look like this: There will be blue bar across the top of the page.) Step 3. Type in the keyword in the "General Keyword" box. [NOTE: a keyword can be anything related to the subject, title or author. Keywords for the novel "Gone With the Wind" might be "civil war fiction" or "scarlett ohara" or even "clark gable".] Step 4. Click on the red GO button to retrieve all materials which match the key words you entered. Step 5. Once you have your search results, be sure to write down the "call number" of the book you want. This is the string of letters and numbers which appears on the spine of the book on the shelf, and is the number we will use to find the book for you when you request it.
