A Brief Biography

Dr. David Buice 

Associate Professor of History

 

Native of Atlanta, GA and grew up in Georgia and Florida.

 Taught for 26 years at Louisiana Tech University where he also served as President of the Faculty Senate and Acting Director of the Louisiana Tech University Library. Named University Professor of the Year, 1991, by the Louisiana Tech Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Had leading roles in numerous campus theatrical productions including West Side Story, Hello Dolly, Fiddler on the Roof, and The King and I.

Currently serving as Associate Professor of History, Collin County Community College District and Adjunct Professor of History, Dallas County Community College District.

Outside interests: anything Elvis (except velvet paintings!), music, reading, bicycling, playing the harmonica, collecting antique flags and binoculars, and traveling. 

Ultimate fantasy: On the road with Willie Nelson playing harmonica in his band. (Won't ever happen, but we all have to dream!)
