The courses I generally teach include lecture and lab for Anatomy& Physiology I and II, lab for General and Intro. Biology, and Medical Terminology (HLSC 1300). My academic interests are histopathology, pharmacology, embryology, oncology, endocrinology, surgery and comparative anatomy. I am also involved with HAPS, the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society , in promoting standards ofexcellence in teaching and laboratory instruction for the biological sciences. HAPS regional and national conventions provide exellent opportunities for updating information and discussing teaching standards.
When I'm less academically inclined, I enjoy playing the guitar, banjo and mountain dulcimer (but not simultaneously!). I'm also interested in scuba diving, sign language (ASL), and designing and sewing clothes.
