The first website provides an article by Robert Maginnis, reflecting the position of the family research council that is opposed to the legalization of drugs. This article examines eight myths associated with the use of drugs with an emphasis on explaining these myths from the position of those opposed to the legalization of drugs.
The other website provides statements from Gustavo de Greiff on the other side of the debate (legalization of drugs). These two websites provide strong arguments for and against the legalization of drugs in our society. These arguments attempt to engage everyone in a debate about this issue that has become more and more relevant in recent years. This assignment provides you with the opportunity to read arguments from both sides.

Explore
these two websites, reading the arguments for (pro) and against (con) the
legalization of drugs. You may have
read other articles about this issue and thus you may include any other information
to the discussion. Some of you may
already have a strong opinion on this issue so I ask that you read the
arguments on both sides with an open mind.

is a great deal of controversy about this issue since there is continued usage
of many illegal drugs in our society.
For this assignment, I hope that everyone feels comfortable enough to
express one’s personal views about this rather volatile issue. Your review can include your view of the two
websites (both content and format). This
debate reflects one of the important issues in our society today. As you know there are always two sides
to every story and for that reason it would be good that we use this assignment
as an opportunity to advance the debate about the battle over whether it is
time to legalize drugs in America.
