There will be four (4) Internet assignments with each worth a maximum of twenty-five (25) points for a possible total of one hundred (100) points for the four assignments.
One of the exciting areas of learning is the information highway, that is, the wealth of websites that have been created. With this expansion, everyone has an immediate and in-depth access to a great deal of information. This electronic enhancement of knowledge contrasts with a newspaper that can only be read by only one person at a time. The goal of this assignment is to explore some of these websites that will assist in our understanding of the application of the principles of human behavior.
Over the course of the semester there will be four (4)
assignments, exploring psychology-related websites. If you, however, discover any interesting
and exciting websites about human behavior, it would be appreciated if you
would share that information with the class (let me know and I can inform the
class). One great feature of the world
of education is sharing of information, especially with the great technological
advances in recent years.
Each student will be given a handout with the website address for each assignment along with a series of specific questions. The basic guidelines for this assignment include:
(1) Review the site and provide a brief description of the key features of this website.
(2) Summarize your impressions of the site, that is, what did you like and/or dislike about the website.
(3) Respond to the questions for that assignment. It is always interesting to read what students view as the important aspects of these websites.
(4) Provide a critical analysis of the website. You can consider yourself to be a movie critic as you evaluate the website. Your feedback about these websites is greatly appreciated. It is only through your feedback that an accurate evaluation of the website helps to identify the effectiveness of these sites for future use.
Please check each internet assignment handout for the due date for that particular assignment. It is important (in terms of grades for the assignment) that the due dates are followed carefully.
